I have been making art of some kind since i could hold a crayon. I was hooked when I shocked my grandparents early on by drawing my mother in a bra doing the ironing (it was summer). Clay became a passion about 20 years ago and I am still enthralled with its' possibilities and clay is where I find my bliss. Illustration and graphic art remain my main income source but clay is slowly taking over my life. Porcelain is the sexiest clay and i use it exclusively for my jewelry and some of my sculpture-it's tricky, but worth it. Each pendant is individually hand carved on all sides (did I say I was a bit compulsive?) and fired at least two times. opening the kiln is like christmas-joy and occasional disppointment but always a surprise.
